Coughlin Haverty Cooper '88 is an accomplished event management and development professional known for her expertise in fundraising. Currently the Director of Special Events and Parent Engagement at Girls Preparatory School, she oversees pivotal initiatives driving community engagement and philanthropy. With a background spanning diverse roles, including Director of Special Events at Mountain Brook Club and leadership positions at the Association of Visual Arts, Coughlin has consistently delivered impactful results. An alumna of Girls Preparatory School, Coughlin's commitment to her alma mater extends to her children, one a GPS graduate and the other a student at McCallie School. Her academic background includes a BA in Art History from Millsaps College and an AS in Culinary Arts from Johnson & Wales University. Coughlin's multifaceted skill set and strategic vision have shaped her career, positioning her as a dynamic leader in event planning and execution. Her love for travel, particularly to London, and appreciation for literature further enrich her perspective and creativity.
