Tracie Durham began at GPS in August of 1989, initially stepping into the role of a science teacher across both middle and upper schools. Over the years, she has taught various science courses at the regular, honors, and AP levels. From sharing the wonders of biology to unraveling the mysteries of forensic science, neuroscience, and anatomy & physiology, Tracie hopes she has inspired her students to be better community members. Beyond the classroom, Tracie's leadership has been instrumental in shaping the school's culture, as evidenced by her roles as a junior class sponsor, community service advocate, and department chair. She has tirelessly championed cocurricular pursuits, serving as the faculty sponsor for the National Honor Society, Beta Club, Student Council, Science Olympiad, and May Day festivities. Tracie's multifaceted contributions epitomize her unwavering commitment to empowering students, both inside and outside of academia, making her an invaluable asset to the GPS community.
