Ashley Wolfe Evans ’93

Fundraiser, Believer, Chattahooligan
Though she anticipated only a brief period back in Chattanooga after receiving her bachelor’s degree in art history from the University of Georgia, Ashley Wolfe Evans and her now-husband, Phil, fell in love with the city and the positive strides she noticed since leaving for college. Ashley worked at a small advertising and video production company before finding her passion in the nonprofit sector while working as development director for 12 years at AIM Center, a psychosocial rehabilitation program for adults with mental illness. From there, she became executive director of Volunteers in Medicine, a free primary care clinic for uninsured low-income adults in Hamilton County and surrounding areas. Today she works as director of major and planned giving at Erlanger Foundation, where she ensures physicians get the latest equipment and families whose children are receiving cancer treatment at Erlanger have a place to stay. Over the years, Ashley has received numerous accolades, including the first Louis T. Griffith Student of the Year award while at UGA and, more recently, she obtained her Certified Fund Raising Executive credentials. She was a member of the inaugural Holmberg Arts Leadership Institute class in 2005 and completed Leadership Chattanooga in 2013. Her other passions include her two French bulldogs and the Chattanooga Football Club.
