Susan Stimson Peak ’68

Entrepreneur, Dreamer, Connector
After her time at GPS, Susan Stimson Peak ventured to Agnes Scott College in Decatur, Georgia, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in English in 1972. She moved to Charlottesville, Virginia, shortly thereafter, expecting to teach high school English. A different path was in store, however, and she encountered other job opportunities including commercial teller in a regional bank, waitstaff at a resort hotel restaurant, inpatient psychiatric recreational therapist director at UVA Hospital, resident manager of premier apartment development, and residential real estate. Today, Susan is a co-owner and managing partner of Peak Swirles & Cavallito Properties LLC, a boutique real estate firm in Durham, North Carolina. Over the years she has been heavily involved with the Durham Regional Association of Realtors, where she has served as president and been named Realtor of the Year and Realtor Emeritus and received the Region 4 Service Award and Wall of Fame recognition. In her free time, Susan plays USTA tennis and enjoys reading, her community, and connecting with friends and peers.
