Susan Davidson began her tenure at GPS in 2015 as Assistant to the Director of Athletics and shifted her talents to the newly created role of Director of Retail Merchandising in 2022. A graduate of the University of Tennessee, she holds a B.S. in communications with an emphasis in journalism. Her early career path was as a marketing professional in minor league baseball for the Atlanta Braves, Cincinnati Reds, and Baltimore Oriole affiliates, as well as Marketing Director for the Southern League of Professional Baseball. She joined GPS after a nineteen-year break to raise her boys, Turner ’21 and Parker ’23, both McCallie graduates. When GPS moved and remodeled its retail store, The Bow, Susan designed all aspects of the new space, changed the store product line, and developed The Bow’s online store. She oversees all GPS merchandise outsourcing and strives to promote the GPS brand both authentically and creatively to best represent the school’s history and changing community.
