Lucy Blancett is a GPS alumna from the Class of 2009. She began working at GPS in fall 2020 as the Marketing Communications Manager and was promoted to Director of Creative Strategy in 2023. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in advertising from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Post-grad, Lucy spent time working in public relations and event planning, and served as the features editor for CityScope and HealthScope magazines. At GPS, Lucy helps market every aspect of the school, from admissions to development, arts, athletics, summer camp, and more. In her work, she aims to develop successful campaigns that connect with the community and pack a punch. She and her MarComm teammates have won numerous awards through the Council for Advancement and Support of Education and the InspirED Marketing for their admission pieces. Lucy is also largely involved in the planning and writing of the biannual GPS magazine, sponsors the school newspaper club (Spectrum), and serves as a Chapel Talk Coach for the senior class.
