Chelsea Padro

Chelsea Padro started as the Coordinate Director of Theater and Musicals at GPS and McCallie in the fall of 2023. As a graduate of The Catholic University of America’s Theater Education masters program, Chelsea has directed theater programs in private schools and summer camps all over the country, including Sidwell Friends School in Washington, DC, The Severn School in Severna Park, Maryland, and St. Andrew's-Sewanee School in Sewanee, Tennessee. Chelsea is a lifelong theater enthusiast. Growing up in the New York area, she was on stage from a young age and is still in awe of how theater can spark passion, creativity, and empathy amongst young people today. In addition to teaching, Chelsea enjoys performing and directing with local community theaters. She has also participated in acting workshops from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, as well as various community theater productions.
