Diane Yu

Diane Yu joined the Fine and Performing Arts Department at GPS in 2021 after beginning her career as a visual art teacher at Garrison Forest School, an all-girls institution in Baltimore. In her 10 years of teaching, she has taught courses such as painting, drawing, color theory, Science of Art, and AP 2D/Painting. Diane graduated magna cum laude from the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA) with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in painting and also earned a Master of Arts in Teaching from MICA. In addition to her work as an educator, Diane is also an independent artist who works with textiles.
