A proud GPS alumna, Jordan McCarter returned to her alma mater in 2015 as a history and social sciences teacher. Jordan has taught classes and almost every grade level at GPS, but her many years as an eighth grade teacher are close to her heart. She has taught civics, AP World History, and World Religions, among other courses, and she has been serving as the Dean of the Eighth Grade class since 2019. In addition to serving as the advisor to yearbook, Jordan enjoys being involved in numerous aspects of campus life in order to support GPS's wonderful students. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from Tufts University, a Master of Education in Higher Education Administration from Vanderbilt University, and a Doctor of Philosophy in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from the University of Tennessee.
