Frequently Asked Questions About On-line Giving at GPS.
Is my information safe?
Yes, GPS has obtained the help of Blackbaud Data Services to host the sites and transactions that involve the transfer of personal information. They process the transaction and verify that the correct amount has been deposited into a GPS bank account.
This third party option provides the best security available for the protection of your credit card and personal information. None of the information you give will be distributed to anyone for solicitation beyond GPS nor will the third party do so. Read Blackbaud's Privacy Statement
Why do I have to set up an account? Don't you have my information?
When you register with the site, the information you give helps us update our records and most importantly, ensures that we credit the gift to the right person. As well, registering with the site allows you to view your donation history of on-line giving. Again, your information may only be used by GPS.
When I click on "Make a Donation" my browser tells me it can't open the page.
Your internet browser may need to be upgraded. Free upgrades are available from both Microsoft and Netscape. These upgraded browsers are more secure and with high security pages such as our on-line giving, it is necessary to upgrade to be compatible with all security measures.
What if I work for a Matching Gift Employer?
Some companies will match their employee's charitable gifts to non-profit organizations, even in some cases as much as double the amount! Unfortunately we do not have the capability with our on-line giving package for one to include information about his or her matching gift employer. If you make an on-line gift and work for a matching gift company, send a separate e-mail to Anita Vetter here at GPS to notify her of the matching gift. Then you will need to take the e-mail confirmation letter that you will receive to your Human Resources department, complete your company's form, and then mail it to Anita Vetter for processing (P.O. Box 4736, Chattanooga, TN 37405).
Why aren't there any more frequently asked questions?
